Job summary

Campbell Global seeks a Forester to lead forest management activities for asset and wealth management clients. The role involves planning, supervising silviculture, harvesting, and land-use projects, with emphasis on compliance and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with local and corporate teams, engage third-party contractors, and utilize GIS for mapping and reporting. Strong field experience and reliable communication are essential for success in this outdoor role.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field with at least 2 years’ experience.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to work outdoors on rough terrain and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Contracting with third parties for harvesting, silviculture, and road construction; analyze bids and ensure contract compliance.
Implement policies/guidelines for forest management to balance quality and cost.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and standards including FSC/SFI.
Use GIS to update maps for stand treatments, boundaries, inventory depletions, and stream locations.
Monitor budgets and participate in quarterly/annual planning processes.
Represent Campbell Global with external partners and internal teams to maintain relationships.
Support forest investment services while reporting environmental or financial risk.
