Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) seeks a senior metallurgical and materials engineering expert to lead complex forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects.

You will direct laboratory work, site inspections, and failure analyses, while drafting high-quality reports and providing expert opinions. Travel to client sites for deposition and trial support is expected; mentoring of staff and business development participation are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science; Master's/Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
• 6+ years of technical litigation consulting with expertise in metallurgy and materials failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs complex forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects as senior metallurgical and materials engineering expert.
• Oversees metallurgical laboratory work, site inspections, and failure analysis investigations.
• Authors and reviews technical reports and provides expert opinions on metallurgical matters.
• Provides expert testimony at depositions and trials and conducts client presentations.
