Job summary

H2M architects + engineers in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead forensic investigations, deliver expert analysis, and support clients in the insurance and legal sectors. You will shape a growing department by guiding complex cases and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture is required.
  • Licensed PE or RA is required or preferred.
  • Experience with law firms and insurance companies is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, field inspection, and technical writing skills are essential.

  • Perform field inspections, including roofs, crawlspaces, and walking surfaces.
  • Support development of department standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • May include accident reconstruction and product defect analysis.

At H2M, we’re expanding our forensic engineering team and seeking a Senior Engineer to lead investigations, deliver expert analysis, and support clients across the insurance and legal industries. Key Responsibilities

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • 8+ years of architectural or engineering experience, including at least 3 years in forensic engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) License.
  • Experience working with law firms and insurance companies.
  • Strong analytical, field inspection, and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities.
  • Project management and supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with building codes, structures, and defect analysis.
  • Experience with accident reconstruction or automotive failure analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Revit familiarity is a plus.
  • Annual Salary is between $120,000- $160,000.
