Job summary

Berkeley Research Group, LLC (BRG) is seeking a Senior Associate or Consultant in Forensic Accounting for our New York office. You will develop databases, analyze financial statements, and support expert witness reports on complex disputes.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in accounting or consulting, CPA progress, and strong GAAP knowledge, with Excel and statistical tools to build financial models and deliver clear conclusions to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/finance; CPA eligible is preferred.
• 2–4 years in audit, forensics, or disputes at a firm.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets and other files as dictated by project needs.
• Assist in the analysis of financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns, and other financial documents.
• Assist in the preparation of expert witness reports by supporting analyses and opinions.
• Perform detailed research and analysis, including review of dispute-related docs and accounting standards.
• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop complex financial models.
• Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools and models.
• Organize and maintain case documents and folders, create electronic libraries.
• Audit own work and team outputs to assure quality.
• Participate in a team environment and meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel as needed for group practice meetings.
