Job summary

Florida Blacktop Inc. seeks a Working Foreman to lead field crews on heavy earthwork and asphalt paving projects across South Florida. You will bridge engineering plans with on-site execution, directing grading, earthwork, and paving operations while managing crews and equipment.

You will read civil plans, supervise production, and ensure safety and quality. This hands-on leadership role offers travel to projects across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties with a family-owned company

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a leadership role within civil construction, earthwork, site development, roadway or asphalt paving.
• Hands-on experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/grading plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily earthwork, site development, and asphalt paving operations to keep projects safe, productive, and on schedule.
• Direct crews, assign daily tasks, monitor quality and output.
• Operate heavy equipment when needed and guide field crews using plans and grade-control tools.
• Maintain accurate field logs of production, equipment hours, and site conditions.
• Enforce safety procedures and communicate issues to project management.
