Brooks Running seeks a Senior Footwear Developer, ARD to lead the footwear development process from insights through commercialization with a cross-functional product creation team.

You will own advanced knowledge of outsole/midsole construction, pattern engineering, materials, and costing, and drive fit, feel, and ride across the Brooks portfolio while guiding timely decisions and ensuring manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, biomechanics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience leading high-performance footwear development.
• Deep knowledge of footwear construction, pattern engineering, materials, and costing.

Responsabilités

• Lead NU & NT, Pre-Development and Advanced Development projects from concept to hand-off.
• Collaborate with Design, CMF, and textile development to ensure manufacturability and cost/quality objectives.
• Lead meetings with product teams to drive on-time production hand-offs.
• Recommend and specify performance components and validated construction options.
• Own decisions on fit, feel, and ride with cross-functional support.
• Evaluate technical blueprints, upper patterns, and materials from performance/manufacturing perspectives.
• Collaborate with Research, Design, Development, Marketing, Costing, and Textile Development to meet product criteria.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement new processes across teams.
• Manage multiple projects from Runner Insights through Design, Development, Costing to Commercialization.
• Plan seasonal deadlines ensuring timely delivery of toolbox elements.
• Anticipate downstream effects of decisions and mitigate delays.
• Mentor development personnel and potentially manage one direct report.
• Travel to Asia 4x per year to lead development trips.
