Job summary

Monogram Foods is seeking a Senior Food Scientist to plan, organize, and execute product development projects affecting the chemical, biological, and physical nature of food. You will collaborate with Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and Sales to meet milestones and ensure USDA/FDA compliance.

You will leverage the Innovation Center and QA resources to take concepts from bench to full-scale production, solving technical problems and driving product improvements.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in a food product development role with full-scale commercialization.
• Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations and quality systems.
• Ability to communicate technical issues across functions: operations, marketing, R&D, sales, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Order raw materials and supplies for sample production and testing.
• Generate concepts and prototypes to enable new and existing business.
• Take products from conception through commercialization and full production.
• Develop and implement new formulations and processes as directed by business needs.
• Ensure projects comply with internal processes and external regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address innovation and cost-management needs.
• Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing and customers during R&D projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem solving and product/process improvements.
• Provide directions to teams to address technical issues related to products/processes.
• All other duties as assigned.
