Job summary

Monogram Foods is seeking a Senior Food Scientist in Bristol, IN, to drive product development from concept to production. You will collaborate with Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and Sales, ensuring USDA/FDA compliance and leveraging our Innovation Center and facilities to meet project goals.

The role emphasizes independent work and teamwork to develop cost-effective, high-quality food innovations and improvements across multiple products.

Qualifications

• BS in Food Science or related field; 5+ years in food product development.
• Experience with full-scale commercialization in bakery or frying/coating applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations.
• Ability to communicate technical issues across functions: operations, marketing, R&D, sales and with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and bring them from bench to production.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, execute and complete product development projects of moderate scope.
• Generate concepts and prototypes to enable new and existing business.
• Take products from conception through commercialization and full production.
• Develop and implement new formulations and processes as directed by business needs.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address innovation and cost management needs.
• Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing and customers during R&D projects.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams for problem solving and product/process improvement.
• Address technical issues related to products/processes.
