Job summary

Actalent in Saint Cloud, MN, is seeking a Food Quality Manager to oversee QA, food safety, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting. This role leads audits, maintains quality systems, and drives continuous improvement across the organization.

You will manage QA staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure USDA and GFSI readiness, and sustain documentation, supplier controls, and product quality from raw materials through release.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, GMP, SQF, and Food Defense programs.
• Demonstrated understanding of USDA regulatory compliance and regulatory and GFSI audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA and food safety programs, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, SQF, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, update quality procedures, reports, product specs, sanitation records, and maintenance logs.
• Lead audits, inspections, certifications, verifications, and lab testing activities.
• Monitor supplier programs, cold storage, shipping, receiving, pest control, and sanitation.
• Support label approval, UPC creation, and nutritional documentation.
• Investigate customer, supplier, USDA concerns and document resolutions.
• Provide leadership for QA staff and manage department budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure USDA regulations and GFSI audits readiness.
