Job summary

The Farmer’s Dog seeks a Senior QA Manager, FSQR to uphold the trust customers place in our brand by maintaining the highest quality across our products. You’ll report to the Director of FSQR and guide quality leadership across sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution.

You’ll work in the New York City area, partnering with manufacturers, product teams, and suppliers to ensure ingredients and finished products meet specifications from sourcing to delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Food Safety & Quality within manufacturing.
• 3+ years of managing food safety programs at third-party sites.
• Deep knowledge of FDA, USDA, and GFSI standards.
• Certified in PCQI and HACCP; ASQ certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of Food Safety and Quality programs at contract manufacturers.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA implementation for issues.
• Provide practical food safety guidance to site operations.
• Oversee microbiological program risk assessments and compliance.
• Support investigations with regulatory agencies (USDA/FDA/AAFCO).
• Drive data-driven improvements and cross-functional education.
