Job summary

Henpen Corporation in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a seasoned Food Safety & Quality Manager for a dairy manufacturing facility. You will lead food-safety and quality programs, drive regulatory compliance, and supervise the plant laboratory and QA teams.

Responsibilities include managing HACCP, SQF readiness, audits, and continuous improvement, while partnering with Operations, Sanitation, Procurement, Sales, and Supply Chain to balance safety with production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field, equivalent experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of quality assurance or food safety experience in manufacturing.
• 4 years of supervisory or quality-team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, cGMP, FSMA, sanitation, allergen control, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and improve food safety and quality-control programs.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and customer requirements.
• Lead audits, certifications, and internal compliance programs.
• Oversee laboratory operations, documentation, and testing procedures.
• Provide training on food safety, sanitation, and quality to plant staff.
• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to balance safety with production goals.
