Job summary

ARETUM Holdings LLC is seeking a Senior FOIA Specialist to support the federal FOIA program. You will lead responsiveness reviews, perform thorough record dedupe, and apply discretionary FOIA determinations while coordinating large-scale productions.

The role requires a JD, 5+ years of FOIA processing experience, and familiarity with FOIAXpress or similar systems. Remote position with travel under 10% and U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FOIA processing experience
• JD required
• Familiarity with FOIA tracking/processing systems (FOIAXpress)
• Experience handling complex FOIA requests with outreach and referrals
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Ability to work well in a team

Responsibilities

• Timely acknowledge incoming FOIAs, referrals, consultations, FOIA appeals, and Privacy Act requests
• Conduct responsiveness reviews, de-dupe records, and apply discretionary FOIA determinations
• Prepare search memoranda for record custodians
• Review large record sets with attention to detail
• Apply redactions per FOIA/regulations and case law
• Manage administrative files per SOPs
• Coordinate and oversee large-scale productions involving multiple components
• Adhere to confidentiality statutes
