Job summary

The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in the U.S. Department of Justice seeks a Supervisory Attorney Advisor (FOIA) to lead attorneys and professional staff. You will plan and supervise work, coordinate with other agencies, and advise on policy decisions within the Office of the General Counsel.

Applicants must hold an LL.B. or J.D., be an active member of the bar, and have four years of post-degree legal experience. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: LL.B. or J.D. degree with month/year and transcripts.
• Licensure: active bar status in any state/territory/DC with first bar license details.
• Required Experience: four full years (48 months) of post-LL.B/J.D professional legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative supervision over attorneys and professional staff.
• Plan and assign work to subordinate attorneys based on priorities and difficulty.
• Provide input and advice to Senior Officials on policy decisions.
• Coordinate with other government offices and/or agencies on legal matters.
