Job summary

Skape Industries LLC is seeking a Senior Flutter Engineer to shape our mobile experience for homeowners and landscapers. You will own features from idea to production, delivering an engaging, real-time UI and scalable code in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production Flutter development with published apps on iOS and Android.
• Strong Dart knowledge and Flutter widget architecture.
• Experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions).
• Proven ability to build performant, responsive UIs with complex animations and interactions.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, or real-time data synchronization

Responsibilities

• Own and develop core features in Flutter mobile apps (iOS & Android) end-to-end.
• Architect scalable, maintainable mobile solutions with clean state management (Riverpod/Bloc).
• Build real-time features including live job tracking, in-app messaging, and push notifications.
• Collaborate with design to create polished, intuitive UIs that delight both homeowners and landscapers.
• Integrate with Firebase services (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging).
• Write comprehensive tests and set up CI/CD pipelines for mobile releases.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering culture and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning

About the Role

As a Senior Flutter Engineer at Skape, you'll be at the heart of how homeowners and landscapers experience our platform. Our mobile apps are the primary touchpoint for both sides of our marketplace — from booking a lawn service to managing a full landscaping business. You'll own critical features from concept to production.

You'll work closely with our founder and a small, senior engineering team to build a world-class mobile experience. This isn't about maintaining legacy code — we're building new features every sprint, experimenting with real-time tracking, payment flows, scheduling intelligence, and more.

If you've ever wanted to see your code impact thousands of real users within days of shipping, this is that role. We deploy fast, iterate based on real feedback, and give engineers the autonomy to make meaningful architecture decisions.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of production Flutter development with published apps on both iOS and Android
• Strong understanding of Dart, state management patterns, and Flutter widget architecture
• Experience with Firebase or similar BaaS platforms (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions)
• Proven ability to build performant, responsive UIs with complex animations and interactions
• Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, or real-time data synchronization
• Strong CS fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, and system design thinking

Nice to Have

• Experience building marketplace or on-demand service apps (Uber, DoorDash, TaskRabbit, etc.)
• Familiarity with geolocation services, mapping APIs, and location-based features
• Experience with Stripe or other payment processing integrations in mobile
• Contributions to open-source Flutter packages or community
