Job summary

Archer is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead the design of integrated thermal lubrication systems for an all-electric aircraft. You will create CAD models, develop 1D and CFD analyses, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure producibility and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in fluid/thermal systems, strong CAD skills (NX/Creo), and experience with GT-Power/AMESim/MATLAB. Occasional travel for testing and supplier visits is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in fluid, lubrication, or thermal management design.
  • Proven track record taking systems from concept through production.
  • Proficiency in CAD and 2D drawings; experience with 1D modeling tools.
  • CFD experience with StarCCM+ or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of integrated thermal lubrication systems from concept through production implementation.
  • Design and specify pumps, filters, heat exchangers, valves, and related components.
  • Develop architectures for optimized thermal management and lubrication performance.
  • Create CAD models, drawings, and system specifications; collaborate with manufacturing.
  • Perform 1D system modeling and simulation (GT-Power, AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Use CFD tools to optimize designs and validate performance.
  • Develop test equipment and run component/system tests; analyze results.
