Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support the development and qualification of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid components. You will configure tests, run executions, collect data and ensure accurate recordings in compliance with MIL-STD-810/DO-160 standards.

You will read engineering drawings, perform measurements, calibrate instruments and collaborate with a team to deliver reliable test results and ongoing improvements in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 6 years related experience, trade or military training, or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, schematics and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to assemble and/or construct basic fluid flow circuits using piping, hoses fittings, tanks and gauging.
• Ability to use a computer and standard Microsoft software products including Excel
• Prior experience in data acquisition a plus
• Utilize hand tools and power tools.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Responsibilities

• Test Configuration: Configure/test engineering defined tests for fluid components and/or assemblies per instructions and standards (MIL-STD-810/DO-160).
• Test Execution: Conduct tests, monitor inputs, evaluate outputs, maintain accurate records.
• Measurement: Measure physical/functional characteristics (size, weight, density, flow, pressure, temp, power, torque).
• Calibration: Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration records.
