Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Design Engineer to support production of complex mechanical systems. You will troubleshoot on the floor, disposition non-conforming hardware, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize processes and designs. This role emphasizes design-for-manufacturability and robust aerospace quality practices.

The candidate should have a strong background in valves and cryogenic hardware, with experience in CAD, FEA, and GD&T. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing or design engineering environment.
• Solid understanding of valves, regulators, and fittings; thermodynamics and fluid mechanics core concepts.
• Experience interpreting GD&T and reviewing engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for production floor support; troubleshoot manufacturing challenges.
• Disposition non-conforming hardware and interpret models/drawings for clear assessments.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability reviews and implement design improvements.

Education

B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or related technical field
