Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Designer in San Diego, CA to develop 3-D CAD models and engineering drawings for fluid conveyance systems on RPAs. You will support fuel, oil, cooling and pneumatics work streams under engineering guidance.

You will create detail, assembly and installation drawings, perform tolerance studies and ensure producibility while aligning with program requirements and drawing release processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in a related field with CAD training.
• Proven CAD proficiency and ability to communicate results to engineers.
• Understanding of military standards and configuration management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in fluid conveyance system design for remotely piloted aircraft.
• Conceptualize CAD solutions and develop detailed drawings.
• Create installation, detail and assembly drawings for fabrication.
• Perform tolerance analysis and interface compatibility checks.
• Support drawing release and change processes.
