Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an engineer to design and develop propulsion and fuel systems and related test equipment. You will work with CAD teams, prepare drawings, manage large assemblies, and present results to the project team.

Requirements: a bachelor’s degree in engineering; proficiency in PTC Creo, Windchill, NX and Teamcenter; knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T; ability to obtain DoD security clearance. EIT desirable; strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Strong technical expertise and ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate workloads
• Ability to understand new concepts quickly in evolving environments
• Excellent communication and leadership interface with all levels and departments
• Self-initiative and teamwork capabilities
• Proficiency in PTC Creo, Windchill, NX, and Teamcenter; knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, machine parts design, and weldments
• EIT certificate desirable; DoD security clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Develop prototype hardware for propulsion and fuel systems and related test equipment
• Collaborate with CAD designers; produce drawings, specifications, and test procedures
• Manage large assemblies and parts within CAD systems
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with laws and regulations
• Provide direction to technical staff and coordinate project segments
