Job summary

CIRCOR is seeking a Principal Design Engineer in Tampa to lead mechanical design of fluid control devices, collaborating with Sales and Engineering to define specs, develop concepts, and deliver drawings, BOMs and test procedures. You will perform stress, CFD/FEA analyses and support fabrication, while guiding a cross‑functional team to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
12+ years in mechanical design of components or valves.
Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop technical specifications for fluid control devices with Sales and Engineering.
Prepare design layouts, drawings, models and BOMs for proposals.
Conduct stress, fluid and thermal analyses and basic CFD/FEA as needed.
Collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality and other departments to ensure design realization.
Create test procedures, documentation and prototype fabrication requests.
