Job summary

Floors Etc in Lutherville, MD is seeking an experienced flooring sales professional to coach new sales staff and help manage showroom product selection. You will sell flooring and installations, assist customers, and coordinate project measures and estimates.

You will build relationships, write proposals and sales orders, and ensure smooth installations by coordinating with Admin and on-site teams. Strong knowledge of flooring and project management is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand plans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, RFMS or other estimating software.
• Strong technical knowledge of flooring.
• Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train new salespeople
• Involved in the product research and selection for the showroom
• Sell flooring, including installations
• Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Meet with clients in the showroom
• Coordinate job measures and estimates
• Write proposals
• Write sales orders
• Work with Admin to create work orders, job schedules, etc
• Help work through, and follow-up after, the completion of each job
• Be involved and responsible for each job and the process
• Visit job sites to make sure the installation process is smooth
• Coordinate with accounting to make sure that all job payments are collected
• Build client relationships
• Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
• Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
• Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
• Assist customers with flooring choices (explain features/benefits, etc.)
• Meet or exceed all required sales goals and metrics
