Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Full-time Environmental Services Tech III (Floor Tech) for the Day Shift (7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). You will maintain floors, use cleaning chemicals and equipment, and may cross-train to EST I duties as needed. 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education
• Floor Tech Experience preferred
• Less than a year of experience as Environmental Associate required
• Healthcare/Hospitality experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of floors and related surfaces.
• Practices safe work habits using chemicals, equipment and cleaning applications (mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, polishing).
• Cross-trained to EST I competencies to cover cleaning duties when necessary.
