Job summary

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., seeks a Floor Supervisor for GM Lake Orion Assembly in Lake Orion, Michigan. You will oversee daily cross dock operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely freight movement supporting production needs.

You will lead hourly staff, monitor workflow, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and track safety, quality, productivity, and delivery KPIs while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
• Experience managing hourly employees and coordinating daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cross dock operations supporting GM Lake Orion Assembly.
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees while promoting accountability and performance.
• Ensure timely loading, unloading, staging, and movement of materials to support production requirements.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and productivity to meet operational goals.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies, customer requirements, and company procedures.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues, shipment discrepancies, and service interruptions.
• Coordinate with transportation providers, customers, and internal teams for uninterrupted material flow.
• Track and report KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
• Support employee training, onboarding, and performance management activities.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and operational reporting.
