Job summary

Dudek is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Southern California to provide planning, analysis, and design for flood mitigation, stream restoration, culvert replacement, and stormwater capture for public agency clients across California.

The ideal candidate holds a CA PE or is eligible, with strong hydrology and open-channel hydraulics experience, and can work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years in stormwater engineering with hydrology and open channel hydraulics analyses.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in CA or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, analysis, and design support for flood mitigation, stream restoration, culvert replacement, and stormwater capture projects throughout California.
• Lead hydrology and hydraulics analyses using HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SRH-2D.
• Develop design reports, specifications, and cost estimates for restoration and flood mitigation.
• Support FEMA floodplain analyses and regulatory submittals.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.
