Job summary

The Boeing Company in Seattle, WA seeks a Senior Flight Test Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performance flight test team and manage complex campaigns for mobility & surveillance programs. This 100% onsite role requires deep flight test expertise, strong leadership, and interaction with regulators and customers.

Candidate must hold an active U.S. Secret clearance, a BS in engineering or related field, and 10+ years in flight test with 5+ years in management.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or clearable status.
• BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive flight test engineering experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership/management role.
• Experience planning/executing flight test campaigns on transport-category or large civil aircraft.
• Proven track record interfacing with customer/regulatory certification authorities (FAA, USAF, USN, or equivalent).
• Experience briefing senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to travel to test sites and work in operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary flight test engineering team.
• Plan, execute, and oversee flight test programs from requirements through reporting.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, military and other regulatory requirements; coordinate certification activities.
• Establish and maintain flight test safety processes and risk assessments.
• Drive cross-functional problem resolution during flight test execution and post-flight analysis.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for flight test programs.
• Represent flight test engineering in program-level reviews and customer/regulatory technical reviews.
• Foster collaboration with flight crews, flight operations, systems engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
