Job summary

Garmin International is seeking a full-time Flight Test Pilot 4 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. As acting Pilot in Command, you will lead difficult high-risk tests and serve as Flight Test Project Lead for complex programs.

You will develop flight test strategies, author certification plans, mentor junior pilots, and collaborate with engineering teams to advance product development and certification efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2,000 hrs total flight time.
• 9+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate.
• Flight Test DER or ODA Unit Member Qualification.
• 2nd Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• Experience with avionics flight test and certification authorities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Pilot in Command for flight test programs with high risk and complex tests.
• Leads Flight Test Projects and develops test strategies for complex programs.
• Develops new test concepts addressing unmet needs and optimizes test configurations.
• Mentors Flight Test Pilots and coordinates with engineering teams.
