Job summary

JT4, LLC seeks an experienced Flight Test Instrumentation Technician Level III to maintain airborne test systems for advanced fighter aircraft. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation on-aircraft, and fabricate cable harnesses to interface with sensors and data systems.

The role requires hands-on expertise with electronics, test equipment, and RF devices, plus the ability to work in field environments and obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; or technical schooling with math, basic electronics, and microwave theory; or military equivalent and 7 years hands-on experience
• ISCET certification
• Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high‑power RF devices
• Expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities
• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
• U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Document operation and performance of airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and ground support equipment
• Use diagnostic tools like multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, frequency meter, and logic probe for checkout, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair
• Fabricate cable harnesses, populate electronic assemblies, crimping, and wire terminations to interface equipment with sensors and test equipment
• Provide feedback and technical knowledge to assist in complex aircraft modifications and process improvements
• Mentor lower-level technicians and provide on-site guidance
• Perform other related duties as assigned and support engineering staff
