Job summary

Vast, based in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to develop fault-tolerant, safety-critical software for Haven missions. You will collaborate with GNC, Thermal, Propulsion, Power, and ECLSS teams to integrate flight code with avionics hardware and run unit tests in a CI environment.

You'll design driver-level interfaces for radios, sensors, actuators, and telemetry systems, participate in code reviews, and help shape best practices for a high-reliability spaceflight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer/ electrical/ aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional C++ coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Create highly reliable flight software for Haven missions.
