Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to support the Landsat 10 mission under the OMES III contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. The role includes designing, developing, testing, and sustaining mission-critical flight software for spacecraft avionics, with involvement across the full software lifecycle.

The position offers hybrid on-site support, requires the ability to obtain a NASA badge, and provides opportunities to work with NASA civil servants,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
15+ years of experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems.
Familiarity with NPR 7150.2.
Experience supporting the complete software development lifecycle from requirements through acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded flight software for spacecraft avionics systems.
Support all phases of the software lifecycle from requirements to verification and maintenance.
Develop software for real-time spacecraft applications on embedded processors and flight-qualified operating systems.
Participate in software peer reviews, design reviews, and NASA lifecycle reviews.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, mission operations, and software assurance teams.
