Job summary

Relative Dynamics seeks an Aerospace Simulator Systems Engineer to support NASA GSFC projects in Greenbelt, MD. The role entails on-site work with potential hybrid arrangements and occasional travel; you will lead simulator development, manage interfaces, and coordinate with USGS and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-disciplinary efforts.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hardware simulators (not software) required.
• Knowledge of requirements management, CM tools, and cross-team integration.
• Experience on large Class B NASA missions; Landsat experience a plus.
• Lifecycle NASA space system development knowledge.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Landsat Next ConOps and develop simulator requirements.
• Define simulator needs and mission concepts; manage interfaces.
• Track simulator inputs across spacecraft, payload, ground, and launch services.
• Lead weekly Simulator Working Group with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with USGS and ensure I&T meets needs.
• Review mission docs and prepare specification packages per Task Orders.
• Provide MISE support and inputs for simulator design.
• Analyze contractor progress and participate in system reviews.
• Ensure end-user testing and operational alignment.
