Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to lead the development of safety-critical flight software for a reusable satellite platform. You will build real-time embedded Linux software across avionics, propulsion, and thermal subsystems, and create autonomous decision-making with FDIR capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in flight software, strong C/C++ expertise, and hands-on SIL/HITL experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of flight software experience for spacecraft or safety-critical platforms.
• Expert proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems (Linux/RTOS).
• Proven track record building SIL/HITL test environments.
• Willing to work on-site in Denver, CO with occasional travel to launch/recovery zones.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement safety-critical C/C++ flight software for spacecraft operations.
• Develop real-time embedded Linux software for avionics, propulsion, thermal, and payload subsystems.
• Build autonomous decision-making and FDIR software.
• Architect and execute SIL and HITL test harnesses.
• Design spacecraft-to-ground communication protocols and telemetry pipelines.
• Support hardware-software integration, launch preparation, and on-orbit commissioning.
