Rocket Lab seeks a Senior Flight Software Engineer II in Long Beach, CA to drive flight software from requirements through testing. You will work on RTOS/embedded Linux applications, and develop drivers for spacecraft sensors and actuators, contributing to on-orbit validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ and RTOS/Embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop application software to run in RTOS or embedded Linux.
• Create drivers for IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and sensors.
• Develop unit tests within CI framework.
• Collaborate with hardware-in-the-loop and systems teams.
