Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive embedded safety-critical Flight/Vehicle Management System software across multiple autonomous platforms. You will design, implement, test, and deploy software in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities include sensor processing, state estimation, device drivers, and reusable component development, with opportunities to mentor others and travel up to 20% for customer and end-user

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Rust.
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with bus/protocols (CAN, UART, Ethernet, ARINC variants).
• Strong systems programming skills including concurrency and optimization.
• Ability to own software components end-to-end across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement safety-critical Flight/Vehicle Management Systems.
• Develop scalable vehicle sub-systems: sensor processing, state estimation, actuation, mission interfaces.
• Create reusable software components across Anduril products.
• Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS and device drivers.
• Build test/simulation fixtures with software/hardware-in-the-loop.
• Support manufacturing/deployment and mentor junior engineers.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users/teams.
