Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Sr Systems Integration Engineer for SWApply to join our Colorado team in the Centennial/Louisville area. You will ensure flight software integrates with avionics, payloads, and ground support equipment while supporting automated test benches and verification campaigns.

You will drive architecture decisions, lead a software-focused team, and validate interfaces between software and hardware, ensuring robust, space-ready systems. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience in systems integration.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive software architecture decisions across the program.
• Lead engineering team focused on cohesive software design.
• Advise on system-level impacts and software risks.
• Manage software interface management and validation.
• Support FlatSat/HITL environments for testing.
• Coordinate end-to-end mission simulations and DITL tests.
• Oversee software build, deployment, and flashing onto flight computers.
• Lead FDIR fault management validation and defect closure.
