FlightSafety International seeks a Lead Project Engineer to act as the technical lead for flight simulation programs, overseeing planning, execution, integration, and delivery of complex projects.

The role coordinates with Regional Directors and Training Center Managers to prioritize and clear issues, while supporting cost estimates, proposals, and process improvements. Travel and security clearance may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in requirements engineering or systems engineering, ideally within aerospace or flight simulation.
• Strong understanding of project engineering principles including requirements management, lifecycle management, configuration management, change management, and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate reviews with customers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical execution of flight simulation projects from concept through delivery.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for internal teams and customers.
• Support project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate efforts across software, mechanical, electrical, visual, and simulator technicians.
• Ensure engineering work meets customer specs, standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist with design reviews, integration, and system verification activities.
• Report project status, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders.
• Facilitate issue resolution during integration and testing.
• Coordinate with Regional Directors and Learning Center MFTD’s for simulator issues clearance.
• Support proposals, cost estimation, and technical presentations for new projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in project execution and engineering processes.
