Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking a flight operations engineer to support on-orbit operations and maintenance for a constellation of Space RADAR satellites.

Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry during ops shifts, coding to analyze payload data, and developing tools for trends, testing, analysis and anomaly resolution. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2: BS in STEM with 2 years of work experience in Aerospace or Defense industry development or test; or any relevant experience with MS degree
• Level 3: BS in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 years with MS
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, trending, and analyzing satellite and payload telemetry during ops shifts
• Coding/script development to analyze and interpret payload data for debug/troubleshooting and system performance evaluation
• Develop/improve/operate custom software tools during trending, testing, analysis, and operational workflow, and help with discrepancy report adjudication and anomaly resolution.
