Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD, seeks an early-career engineer to support on-orbit operations and maintenance for a Space RADAR satellite constellation. Position requires a TS clearance, willingness to work shifts, and experience with MATLAB/Python tooling.

You will engage in telemetry analysis, system testing, and tool development while contributing to mission success across MOD/space platforms. This on-site role offers growth in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2 years in Aerospace or Defense industry; or MS degree.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• Coding skills in MATLAB and/or Python.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Familiarity with RF test environments.
• Familiarity with RADAR operation.
• Experience with RADAR integration and test.
• Experience conducting on-orbit mission operations and resolving satellite and ground system abnormalities.
• Active SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, trending, and analyzing satellite and payload telemetry during ops shifts.
• System test with on-orbit payloads and/or lab assets; coding/script development to analyze payload data for debug/troubleshooting and system performance evaluation; develop/operate custom software tools during trending, testing, analysis, and operational workflow; assist in discrepancy report adjudication and anomaly resolution.
