Job summary

Cinntra in Dorval, QC / Wichita, KS seeks a Senior Professional, Human Factors Engineering, Flight Deck Design to lead the development and certification of flight deck interfaces. You will use requirements capture, prototyping, simulation and usability testing to ensure safe, usable cockpits.

Ideal candidates bring a decade in aerospace, expertise in cognitive ergonomics and human factors, and strong documentation and communication skills in English (French is a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and a degree in Cognitive Ergonomics, Psychology, Industrial Design or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience in Aerospace industry with knowledge of aircraft systems, flight operations, and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, evaluate and certify flight deck interfaces through requirements capture, prototyping, simulation, analysis and usability tests.
• Deploy cognitive ergonomics to support design, tests and analysis of Human-Machine Interfaces.
• Develop HMI simulations and prototypes and document Human Factors activities for new aircraft and cockpit mods.
• Lead User Centered Design activities for Flight deck HMI and conduct scenario-based UX evaluations.
• Interact with flight crews to assess cockpit usability and support certification efforts for 1302 and related regs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
