Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking an experienced Flight Deck Integration & Human Factors Engineer to design, integrate, evaluate, and certify advanced aircraft flight deck systems. The role centers on aligning hardware, software, cockpit interfaces, and pilot tasks with crew cognitive, perceptual, and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Design, Human Factors, Ergonomics or related field.
• Experience in human factors, cognitive and physical ergonomics, or related discipline.
• Strong user-centered design, HMI development, UX, usability testing or HF engineering.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UCD activities for flight decks, avionics, and HMI design.
• Support cockpit interface design via prototyping, simulation, analysis and usability testing.
• Apply cognitive and physical ergonomics to cockpit and flight deck design.
• Develop and conduct scenario-based evaluations of flight deck systems.
• Create HMI simulations/prototypes to evaluate function and pilot interaction.
• Collaborate with pilots to assess usability, workload, SA, accessibility and UX.
• Develop and maintain HF documentation for development and certification.
• Support V&V activities and cockpit certification processes.
