Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional, Engineering specialist in Wichita to join the Flight deck Design and Human Factors team. You will contribute to User Centered Design, avionics HMI, and cockpit interface evaluation through prototyping, simulation, and usability testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or Industrial Design and a focus on cognitive and physical ergonomics, with experience in aerospace systems and ability to work with flight crews to assess

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science or Industrial Design.
• Degree in Ergonomics (physical/cognitive) or equivalent.
• Experience with cognitive ergonomics and physical ergonomics in aerospace.
• Proficiency in tools for prototyping, interface development, and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and evaluation of cockpit interfaces through prototyping, simulation, analysis and usability tests.
• Deploy cognitive and physical ergonomics expertise to support tests and analysis.
• Develop system HMI simulations and interact with Flight Crews to assess usability.
• Create and manage documentation for Human Factors activities related to new aircraft and cockpit modifications.
• Collaborate with human factors specialists in maintenance, manufacturing and maintainability.
