Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Flight Avionics Responsible Engineer to join the Avionics Organization onsite in Melbourne, Florida. The candidate must lead integration of cockpit systems, analyze requirements, and manage risks to ensure high technical rigor in a fast-paced environment.

Relocation assistance may be available; a Top Secret clearance is preferred. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with required years of experience as stated in the posting.
• Active US Government Secret or higher clearance required.
• Experience with MIL-COTS hardware and flight deck integration.

Responsibilities

• Integrate cockpit systems and avionics across FMC, PFDs, CDUs, and navigation systems.
• Develop requirements, maturation, and implementation for avionics.
• Document designs with schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Support verification, certification and safety documentation for installations.
