Job summary

Zumbiel Packaging in Hebron, KY, is seeking a Flexographic Printing Operations Manager to lead a production team in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee a cross-functional shift, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and partner with engineering and maintenance to hit targets.

The role requires a printing/manufacturing background, hands-on automation experience, and a track record of improving processes while coaching hourly staff for peak performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Technical or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing supervision experience.
• Minimum 5 years managing a high-performance flexographic department.
• Experience with Lean/6S and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience with machinery/automation and computer-based software (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Lead up to 75 hourly employees across production areas.
• Drive daily management boards; take corrective actions for missed targets.
• Coach, mentor and provide performance feedback.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment; ensure policy compliance.
• Champion safety and quality culture; contribute to CI initiatives.
• Communicate job expectations and ensure adherence to standards.
• Schedule and assign personnel to meet production plans; resolve issues.
• Report shift production summaries accurately.
• Demonstrate experience automating equipment and processes.
• Complete personnel documentation and conduct reviews.
