Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation's Public Services Fleet Division seeks a Senior Parts Warehouse Operator to manage parts, inventory and vendor orders for city fleet vehicles. You will use fleet management software, process parts requests, and support technicians while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities include receiving stock, organizing storage, operating forklifts and barcode scanners, and ensuring timely delivery to minimize vehicle downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus four years' experience in warehouse operations including receiving and inventory distribution.
• Knowledge of computerized inventory programs for ordering, tracking, reconciling and maintaining inventory levels.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and input information accurately using automated or manual systems.

Responsibilities

• Use Fleet software and catalogs to identify parts for fleet repairs.
• Assist technicians with superior customer service and communications.
• Work with vendors to obtain best prices and fill orders quickly to minimize downtime.
• Track all parts orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Receive orders and verify quantities and quality.
