Planet Networks is seeking a senior Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, rebuild, maintain, and repair a mixed fleet of construction, farm, and utility equipment. You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform major repairs, and ensure safety and reliability across equipment including diesel engines and hydraulics.

The role requires hands-on expertise, adherence to manuals and safety standards, and the ability to coordinate with operators and suppliers. Strong fabrication skills are a plus.

Formación

• Expert-level experience repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Proven ability to rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, drivetrains.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Ability to diagnose difficult problems, identify root causes, and complete major repairs.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics, service manuals and specs.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, test equipment, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and capable of lifting heavy parts in varying conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, rebuilding, and repair on a mixed fleet.
• Rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and major components.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, suspension, braking, cooling, and powertrain systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, and PTOs.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic/control system issues with wiring and modules.
• Welding, cutting, and metal fabrication per safety and manufacturer specs.
• Service equipment including excavators, skid steers, tractors, and bucket trucks.
• Use test equipment to identify root causes and verify repairs.
• Coordinate with operators, parts suppliers, and service providers.
• Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, repairs, and parts.
