Job summary

American Landscaping Partners LLC is seeking a Mechanic III to maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles and landscaping equipment. This senior technician handles complex diagnostics, major repairs, and advanced welding and fabrication.

You will mentor junior mechanics, ensure DOT and safety compliance, and document service activity in Fleetio. Strong diagnostic skills, 5+ years' experience, and a CDL or willingness to obtain are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certified automotive or diesel program preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive hands-on mechanic experience; landscaping fleet experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain; ASE/DOT/Hydraulic cert preferred.
• Expert mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills; proficient with diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex repairs on gasoline and diesel trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting of hard-to-diagnose issues using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer resources.
• Perform advanced welding and fabrication, including frame repairs and equipment mods.
• Mentor Mechanic I and II staff; assist in onboarding and setting performance expectations.
• Accurately complete work orders and service documentation in Fleetio; ensure record accuracy.
