Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a full-time Mechanic to support our fleet. You will perform a variety of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair tasks while adhering to federal, state, local regulations and company policies.

You must provide your own basic mechanic’s tools. The ideal candidate has 10 years of repair and maintenance experience and holds a High School Diploma or GED, with a valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules.

Qualifications

• 10 years of repair and maintenance experience of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
• Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks related to vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair
• Provide own set of basic mechanic’s tools
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies
• Support fleet in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX area
• Work full time, Monday–Friday and on-call; be flexible for weather events
