Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time General Mechanic Helper to support the fleet at two locations in Houston, TX and Porter, TX. You will perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs, following all regulations and company policies.

You must provide your own basic mechanic’s tools and pass a background check. Qualified candidates have 5 years of repair/maintenance experience with automotive equipment, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the

Qualifications

• 5 years of repair and maintenance experience with automotive and mechanical equipment.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certificate preferred.
• Valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules/regulations.
• Must pass background check and maintain safe work practices.
• Ability to use smartphones and various apps relevant to job.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Support fleet at two Houston-area locations, reporting to Lead Mechanic.
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain safety equipment and document maintenance activities.
