Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep our heavy-duty vehicle fleet safe and operational. You will apply diesel mechanics and electrical diagnostics to perform complex repairs and ensure compliance with FMCSA safety standards.

You will conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspections, and accurate documentation in our digital work order system. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-4 years hands-on tractor/trailer maintenance experience in fleet environment is preferred.
• Proficient in diesel engine systems, electrical diagnostics and heavy equipment repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple repairs under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and diagnostic software usage.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections to meet FMCSA safety standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with minimal oversight.
• Document service activities, parts allocation, and repair outcomes in the digital work order system.
• Perform minor body repairs and structural maintenance to uphold equipment integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment to promote efficient workflow.
• Mentor junior technicians by sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate team performance.
