Job summary

Contour, a long-established aviation services company, seeks a Senior Fleet Engineer in Smyrna, TN. The role analyzes deficiencies and develops corrective actions, verifying effectiveness with follow-up evaluations.

You will develop engineering responses to fleet performance and safety issues, review directives, and lead a team to reduce delays, downtime, and errors while maintaining safety and reliability. Travel is negligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance.
• Must understand, read, and write English.
• Adept at Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, Visio).
• Knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering systems (TRAX or eMRO) is preferred.
• Able to read FAA regulations, manuals and maintenance documentation in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering responses to fleet performance, reliability and safety issues.
• Review, prioritize, implement, and track prevention strategies (process improvements).
• Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
• Develop cost effective correction action plans to address operational consequences and reduce failures.
• Mentor other team members to enhance team engagement and share knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
