Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Senior Specialist – Diagnostics to provide advanced technical expertise for fleet reliability across automotive and medium/heavy-duty equipment. The role analyzes fault codes, trends, and prognostics to identify root causes and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities include technical fleet reviews, coordinating repairs with customers, and generating data-driven performance analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Automotive Technology, Automotive Management, Diesel Mechanics, or Analytics; equivalent work experience required
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical repair knowledge required
• 3 years of automotive repair experience preferred
• 3 years of VDA or diagnostic tech experience, or comparable fault code experience/knowledge preferred
• 3 years of Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Must understand fault codes and their meanings
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical fleet reviews to identify fault trends
• Coordinate corrective repairs with customers
• Generate performance analyses to drive improvements
• Support evolution and expansion of Digital Fleet Management diagnostic products
• Collaborate with field personnel, 24/7 teams, and external customers
